The Final Hand in the Mouse’s Journey

Our Chocolate Mouse’s journey does not end with the chocolatiers. While the artistry of making our signature Mice is often described, lesser known is the exceptional skill and attention to detail of our Packing team.

Once crafted, all of our chocolates are received into Packing. There they are carefully nestled into pleated paper capsules for presentation and protection, a step known as "footing." Our Footers are vigilant controllers of visual perfection. A slightly misshapen ear, a nose too high, or a tiny variation in the chocolate enrobing will not escape their expert eyes.

Next come the Mouse Packers, a charming name for a vital position. Each delicate Mouse must be handled with the lightest touch and only for the briefest moment, as the warmth of one’s hands could soften their chocolate’s finish. One by one, the Mice are selected and deftly placed in their boxes, upturned faces forward, with silken tails tucked in. Special attention is given to their fragile noses. After a final check, the box is beribboned and further prepared by our Shipping team for safe travel to our shops or the homes of their delighted recipients.

How far in advance should I place a custom order?

We require a two-week lead time for all customized products. This will be reflected during checkout, where the first available ship date will appear as two weeks from your order date. For event-related orders, we recommend choosing a ship date that allows for delivery at least two business days before your event to accommodate potential shipping delays and ensure timely arrival.
What types of customization are available?

We provide a range of thoughtful options to make our products uniquely your own, including ribbon and box colors, custom wax seals, and personalized messages imprinted on ribbons. After selecting the product you wish to customize for your event or corporate gift, you’ll be guided through a customization tool that displays all available options. How should I store the product before my event?

We recommend enjoying our chocolates soon after receiving them, as they contain no preservatives. If storage is necessary, please keep chocolates at room temperature below 75°F. When climate control is unavailable or the temperature exceeds 75°F, please place in an airtight bag and refrigerate. Always ensure they are sealed in an airtight bag before refrigeration. When ready to enjoy, please allow the chocolates to return to room temperature before removing them from the bag in order to prevent unwanted condensation. From chocolate beavers and camels to custom flavors, we’ve crafted many one-of-a-kind creations for special requests.
