Each Elephant is hand-piped with dark chocolate ganache with passion fruit and Amarula cream liqueur, accented with toasted almond ears and tusks, and hand-dipped in dark chocolate. 100% of net proceeds are donated to Space for Giants, a Kenya-based non-profit dedicated to protecting Africa՚s wildlife and habitats.

Craftsmanship

A Rhythmic Craft

Much like a parade of real elephants, there is a rhythm to the process of handcrafting our Chocolate Elephants. The ballet precision of the pipers, dexterously handling bags of freshly whipped ganache — down goes the tip to the board, a flick of the wrist and there are the elephant bodies, one by one, then a dab and a flourish, the heads. On go the upturned trunks with steady, artful precision.

Gloved hands are working in tandem, positioning the toasted almond ears and choosing and placing the tusks.

The tap-tap motion of the dipping forks as the beasts are hand-dipped in dark and milk chocolates. The careful strokes to coat the tusks in white chocolate are followed by the rhythmic touch of a tiny chocolate-filled piping cone to thoughtfully place their eyes.

A moment of rest in our cold room to ensure a perfect shine, and the elephants march off to the packing room to be gently encapsuled in pleated paper, nestled, and boxed.

All You Need to Know About Custom Orders

How far in advance should I place a custom order?

We require a two-week lead time for all customized products. This will be reflected during checkout, where the first available ship date will appear as two weeks from your order date. If you are ordering a custom wax seal, please allow an additional three weeks for design and production of the seal. For event-related orders, we recommend choosing a ship date that allows for delivery at least two business days before your event to accommodate potential shipping delays and ensure timely arrival.
What types of customization are available?

We provide a range of thoughtful options to make our products uniquely your own, including ribbon and box colors, custom wax seals, and personalized messages imprinted on ribbons. After selecting the product you wish to customize for your event or corporate gift, you’ll be guided through a customization tool that displays all available options. How should I store the product before my event?

We recommend enjoying our chocolates soon after receiving them, as they contain no preservatives. If storage is necessary, please keep chocolates at room temperature below 75°F. When climate control is unavailable or the temperature exceeds 75°F, please place in an airtight bag and refrigerate. Always ensure they are sealed in an airtight bag before refrigeration. When ready to enjoy, please allow the chocolates to return to room temperature before removing them from the bag in order to prevent unwanted condensation. For additional information, please refer to the “Ingredients & Care” section on each product page.
What if I am looking for something extra special?

From chocolate beavers and camels to custom flavors, we’ve crafted many one-of-a-kind creations for special requests. Please note that custom development requires a fee and additional lead time beyond our standard two weeks for favor orders.
