World Elephant Day

Chocolate Elephants for the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust

Up to 55 elephants are killed each day in Africa by poachers hunting for ivory. Today only 400,000 elephants remain on the continent, down from an estimated 5 million a century ago. As poaching and habitat loss continue, an increasing number of elephants are orphaned.

Founded in 1977, the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is a charitable organization in Kenya renowned around the world for its orphan-elephant rescue and rehabilitation program. The Trust has successfully rescued and raised 230 orphaned elephants, of which over 130 have already been reintergrated back into the wild.

L.A. Burdick Chocolates honors the vision and efforts of the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust with our specially created limited-edition Chocolate Elephants. Each Elephant is handmade with natural ingredients and without preservatives or artificial colors and flavors. 100% of the net proceeds will be donated to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust USA, a registered charity in the US (30-0224549).
