Chocolate Elephants for The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust

Up to 80 elephants are killed each day in Africa by poachers hunting for ivory, according to the UN. Today only 400,000 elephants remain on the continent, down from an estimated 5 million a century ago. As poaching and habitat loss continue, an increasing number of elephants are orphaned.

Founded in 1977, The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (DSWT) is a charitable organization in Kenya renowned around the world for its orphan-elephant rescue and rehabilitation program. The Trust has successfully rescued, raised and reintegrated into the wild 190 orphaned elephants to date.

L.A. Burdick Chocolates honors the vision and efforts of The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust with our specially created limited-edition chocolate elephants. Each elephant is handmade with natural ingredients and without preservatives or artificial colors or flavors. 100% of net proceeds will be donated to The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust USA, a registered charity in the US 30-0224549.
