We are looking for an Assistant Webmaster to join our growing team, who is motivated, passionate and knowledgeable about web design and ecommerce implementations, and eager to work hard and contribute to the fast growing vertical in the business.

This role assists in managing burdickchocolate.com. The Assistant Webmaster helps create an optimal online experience by creating engaging content, simplifying navigation, and ensuring fast access and clear display of content for users, along with graphic support.


  • Maintain, update and create website content
  • Analyze user needs to determine technical requirements and/or site enhancements
  • Ensure that web content aligns with company’s goals and standards
  • Ensure web content is search engine optimized and compatible across all major browsers
  • Utilize Google Analytics or similar tools to analyze data and develop meaningful and actionable insights
  • Troubleshoot website-related issues, such as a. inability to add products to shopping cart and b. oddities that arise in page layouts. HTML knowledge is essential in trouble shooting accurately and in a timely manner
  • Code email newsletters
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in web design, computer science, marketing or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as webmaster
  • Ecommerce website management experience
  • Strong knowledge of website coding languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Experience with content management software
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis on Dreamweaver
  • Strong sense of design principle
  • Experience with search engine optimization techniques and best practices
  • Experience with Google Analytics or similar tools
  • Familiarity with Mailchimp
  • Sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent proofreading and editing skills
  • Impeccable communication and teamwork skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills. This includes the ability to multitask, prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment, and meet stringent deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills
