How and When We Ship
Orders received prior to 4:00pm EST will be shipped the same day unless a specific delivery date has been requested. Orders received after 4:00 pm EST or during the weekend or on a holiday will be processed on the next business day. We do not ship over the weekend, and therefore do not offer Monday delivery.
Please note that when shipping to a physical address, an accurate street address complete with suite or apartment number and/or business names is required. A phone number is also required to ensure proper delivery.
Non-Delivery Dates
Delivery on holidays and certain dates during busy shipping seasons may not be available. Following is a list of dates that are not available for delivery. If you have a special requirement, please call our Customer Service department and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
** NOTE: Because we have no control over where the package might be stored over the course of a weekend, we try to avoid Monday deliveries.
Address Verification
Many packages never make it to their destination because an invalid address. If you are uncertain of the address you are sending to please click on the following link to verify the city, state and zip.

Shipping Tips
L.A. Burdick Chocolate tries to minimize shipping costs for our customers. We do not profit from shipping charges. Rates are based on the total size and weight of product(s) being shipped.
Shipping overnight is recommended if the product may be compromised due to weather and location.
Shipping To P.O. Boxes, FPO & APO
We ship packages to Post Office Boxes, FPO & APO address via USPS (United States Post Office). Because we use priority mail, an express service, outside of New England the same rates as Fed Ex apply. Inside New England UPS rates apply.
Shipping To Alaska & Hawaii
We use Fed Ex Priority for shipments to Alaska & Hawaii. There is a minimum $30.00 charge to ship to these destinations. Because our product is perishable, we ship overnight only but due to the distance involved allow for 2-day delivery.
Shipping To Canada
Canada is the most frequently shipped- to destination outside of the US. We use the USPS (United States Post Office) Global Express Priority. This results in a package arriving to its destination within 3-5 business days provided there is no hold up in customs.

Saturday Delivery
Saturday delivery is available to most locations in the US.We will notify you the same day an order is received if Saturday delivery is not available in your area. We use FedEx for all Saturday deliveries.This price is based on Overnight Priority plus $15.00.
Shipping To A Business Address
When shipping to a business, the business name, individuals name, suite and/or floor number and phone number must accompany the address.
Warm Weather Shipping
Since we strive to have Burdick Chocolate products arrive in perfect condition, we take special care when shipping to warm locations. From May 1st - October 1st and year round to warm climates such as Arizona, Texas, Florida, Southern California, we require overnight shipping. To protect your package from heat we use ice packs, which keep the product cool for up to 24 hours. We do NOT charge for icepacks. Please make every effort to notify the recipient that a package will be arriving, as we cannot be responsible for items left unattended in warm weather.
We WILL NOT BE SHIPPING VIA THE POST OFFICE during the summer months, as we cannot guarantee arrival date or product condiditon upon delivery.
Order Tracking
Once your order is shipped we will send you an email with tracking details. You will then be able to track your package by going to the carrier's website. This will be provided in the email.
Incorrect Shipping Addresses
In order to avoid delays in getting your chocolate orders, please review your shipping information and addresses carefully before submitting. FedEx charges $12.00 for an incorrect address.
