While chocolate is the trademark of L.A. Burdick, the celebration of quality cuisine does not stop there. The Restaurant at L.A. Burdick Chocolate has a French style menu, emphasizing organic, wild caught, and locally grown provisions. We maintain a focus on bringing out the flavors of these special ingredients and seasonal offerings. We are open for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. We appreciate the spirit and life of the places we call home.
We are pleased to support high-level regional artists by exhibing their work on the walls of our restaurant - providing our local talents exposure to a broad community of appreciative patrons!

Scanography by Marty Klein
In 2006, Marty Kein began using a flatbed scanner, not unlike a high resolution camera with a macro lens, as an oulet for his creativity and as a new way to share his love of nature. To begin, he composes the subjects on the glass plate - leaves, flowers, etc. With the scanner's cover open, he arranges and recomposes the subjects many times, before getting an arrangement that pleases his eye. He then edits the scans with Photoshop, creating images and prints that have a look that's between illustration and photography, with a surprising amount of depth.
His experience as a photographer, blacksmith, naturalist, gardener and forager informs and inspires the art. Most of the images include subjects that are locally grown or foraged, portraying essences of the familiar and the less-seen details of natural forms, patterns and colors.
High resolution, archival prints are available for purchase. A detailed price list is available at The Restaurant, or visit martykleinart.com for more information.
